Any apprehensions that director Mani Ratnam had over Aishwarya Rai dubbing her own dialogues for the Tamil version of his bilingual mega-flick Raavana has been laid to rest.
Ash, who was tutored in Tamil on the sets while shooting the movie, has grasped the finer points of the language rather well and is set to show her linguistic prowess while dubbing for ‘Raavana’.
Having made her acting debut in Ratnam’s Tamil movie ‘Iruvar’ years ago, Ash isn’t alien to the language. But it does take a lot of practice to get fluent in Tamil. And Ash now seems to have got the hang of it.
The actress is presently dubbing for the Tamil version of ‘Raavan’ and we hear that she’s not only speaking Tamil correctly but also with a very right accent.
Hindi, English, Tulu (her mother tongue) and now Tamil. Ash is turning into a polyglot.
