Bollywood Actress Preity Zinta Brand Ambassador for UN AIDS!

It was on Thursday, the 11th of March, that the UNAIDS, officially appointed actress and IPL franchisee, Preity Zinta as their Brand Ambassador. The actress in turn has promised to make sure that her IPL team, Kings eleven Punjab would leave no stone unturned to spread awareness of HIV/AIDS amongst the spectators and viewers.

There is a schedule that has to be followed by her team. On the day of the first match between Kings Eleven Punjab and Delhi Dare Devils, an HIV positive person would accompany the captain of Preity’s team for the Toss ritual. Besides that, all the players would wear a red ribbon on their jerseys to mark the Awareness of the positive syndrome.

There are plans to make a film too, so as to spread the awareness. The short film would be like a documentary with the captain of the Kings Eleven Punjab Kumar Sangakara, Preity Zinta, and Yuvraj Singh who is the main batsman of Preity’s team.

Preity is the only bollywood star to have been appointed as the Brand Ambassador. The other personalities who have already endorsed the UNAIDS foundation are Hollywood actor Naomi Watts, German footballer Michael Ballack, and last but not the least, Pakistani singer Salman Ahmed.The good cause of this campaign is going to be spread in a vast number of audiences, considering the kind of popularity that IPL has already gained.
