Mallika Movie Trailer - Movie Pictures - Movie Review: Sanjana is haunted by nightmares and vivid visions of a murder that took place in the house years before she moved in. She has a special gift, or rather the curse, to see the unseen...to witness the dark past of any place she inhabits.

Not able to take the horrific recreation of the death anymore, Sanjana decides to leave the house and go for a vacation, hoping that those visions will stop chasing her.

She goes to a secluded fort cum resort in Rajasthan. However, little did she know that things were going to go from bad to worse at the fort, which holds a dark secret deep inside its chest...a past that will change Sanjana’s life forever.

Character Sketches

Saahil (Sameer Dattani)
Saahil is a creative director at an Ad agency and a keen violinist. He is brave, charming, helpful and an inquisitive person. Although he is funny by nature he can prove to be a tough nut to crack, if provoked. A research job urges him to land up at Fort Khejarta.

Sanjana (Introducing Sheena Nayyar)
Sanjana is an arrogant and pricey girl coming from a rich background. Although she maintains a tough shell outside, she is a very caring and fragile person within. She is on her way to Fort Khejarta looking for an escapade from the fast city life and to reconnect with herself once again.

Vikram (Himanshu Mallik)
Vikram is the care taker of Fort Khejarta. He is a blue blood, who has inherited a bountiful legacy from his forefathers and the pride shows on his face. Due to his upbringing, he is a man of few words and a great believer in god.

Maya (Pooja Ballutia)
Maya is Vikram’s wife and co-care taker of Fort Khejarta. She is a graceful woman with a royal upbringing and gentle nature. However, she has a roaming eye and finds it difficult to resist good looking men. Vikram is unaware of this side of his spouse and blindly trusts her.

Chandar (Rajesh Khera)
Chandar is the manager of Fort Khejarta. Although this is just his profession, he has an obsession for paranormal studies and occurrences. People often find him weird as he ends up talking about ghosts and spirits, even with the resort guests. He always carries a book on black magic and spirits with him which he had inherited from his forefathers.

Inspector P. K. Girpade (Suresh Menon)
Girpade belonged to Mumbai police as an encounter specialist. However, after he ended up killing mostly bystanders and innocent citizens, he was transferred to Khejarta. Missing his gun totting days in the cities, he now handles cases of missing cattle and minor thefts, but deep inside he is still the city cop… ready for action!

Maddy (Arjun Mahajan)
A fashion photographer by profession, Maddy is a promiscuous guy who wants to sleep with all the women in the world. He lacks respect for other people and has no other priorities in life than himself. He is at fort Khejarta with a model, Alisha for her portfolio shoot.

Mallika - The Horror Movie - Review

Mallika - The Horror Movie - Review: Even the ghosts know by now that Bollywood filmmakers are horrifyingly out of new ideas and tricks to scare the audiences. Director Wilson Louis, unable to come up with something fresh, rehashes the already tried, tested and dead ideas and gives them a new garb in his horror flick Mallika, which introduces Sheena Nayyar in Bollywood.

She plays Sanjana who is troubled by the nightmares of a murder that once took place in the house she’s living in. To escape from these nerve-wracking visions, she packs her bags and goes for a vacation to - of all places - an old fort that would look haunted even to the half blind.

Inside the fort are a bunch of assorted characters like Saahil (Sameer Dattani) who is doing a research on the fort, Vikram (Himanshu Mallik) the caretaker of the fort, his wife Maya (Pooja Ballutia), an oversexed photographer (Arjun Mahajan) and a police inspector (Suresh Menon).

Turns out that the fort too is haunted by an evil spirit and there’s an allusion to a mysterious woman named Mallika who has something to do with Sanjana.

Even those who are faint of heart would scarcely be scared by the spooky moments in the film. The chalk-faced spectre, with rumpled hair, popped-out eyes is a direct throwback to the films of the Ramsay brothers. And the sights of the spirit swinging on a jhoola, or levitating to the ceiling don’t exactly send you cringing in your seat.

Performances aren’t anything to write about. Sameer Dattani does try to bring some credibility to his character but is let down by a clichéd script and untalented co-stars. Sheena Nayyar is hot but shows little promise in acting department.

The special effects in the film are good but the background music is too loud.

Mallika has just a few scares to offer, unless you consider the sight of Sheena getting wet in a bikini scary.
