Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone MASALA News: Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone have been asked not to tweet about their film Break Ke Baad. And the reason is simple:
if Twitter provides a great platform to promote a film, its extensive use also poses a threat for the movies that are in production stages.
Stars who act in them seem to be less bothered, but it’s a matter of concern for the makers who don’t want too much about the film to be revealed before release.
Director Kunal Kohli confirms the news and tells a daily, “I’ve only asked Deepika and Imran to desist from tweeting for three weeks until Imran’s new film “I Hate Luv Storys” is released.
I don’t want any overlapping in the public’s subconscious about the two films.”
Well, this is not the first instance of such kind. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala was also unhappy with Priyanka Chopra’s tweets about the film Anjaana Anjaani which also stars Ranbir Kapoor. She too was forbidden from scribbling anything on the micro-blogging site.
And as the buzz goes, Imran is not so happy with being away from Twitter.
Can’t wait to tweet!
